Music for the Ages

To promote music and music education, Music LIvz, the Long Island Philharmonic’s Arts-in-Education program, visited the students at Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center in Bellmore. During the visit, students learned about various instruments and their musical families, including woodwinds, strings, percussion, and brass. Following the introduction of each instrument and its family, the five musicians performed a musical selection highlighting that particular instrument. Additionally, student volunteers were given the opportunity to sing, guest conduct, and play instruments with the Long Island Philharmonic.
