Shore Road students dressed in team colors to challenge one another in the school’s annual Sixth-Grade Olympics. Under the direction of physical education teachers Brian Scott and Mallory Cogen, the students honed their skills in basketball, volleyball, cage ball and fitness relay in the six weeks prior to the final event.

“The Sixth-Grade Olympics promotes camaraderie among the students, as well as sportsmanship and healthy competition,” Mr. Scott said.

Teammates cheered from the sidelines as each student competed.

“It is a wonderful way to unite the classes,” physical education teacher Mallory Cogen said. “The Olympics is a special activity for the sixth-graders, and they look forward to it every year.”
