Cell Phones for Soldiers

Fifth and sixth-grade students in the Random Acts of Kindness Pack (RAK Pack) at Shore Road School participated in the “Cell Phones for Soldiers” program sponsored by Senator Charles Fuschillo’s office. The old and broken cell phones that were donated were sent to ReCellular, which makes a donation for every phone collected to purchase calling cards for overseas soldiers and their loved ones back home. The RAK Pack collected over forty phones for this program.

The RAK Pack is a group of students who perform random acts of kindness for their school and community. In providing service to others, the students demonstrate the Bellmore School District’s core values, such as dedication, teamwork, and showing respect for others.
