Early in the spring, students in Karen Reilly’s class at Bellmore’s Winthrop Avenue School participated in a videoconference on Mexican culture with the Center for Puppetry Arts, as part of their foreign language curriculum. Organized by Spanish teacher Dana Frankel and technology assistant Carol Monaco, the conference included historical facts, maps and authentic artifacts of Mexican culture, as well as the creation of an eagle mask in Aztec tradition.
