The sixth-grade students at Bellmore’s Shore Road School have been spending time learning about the culture of ancient Egypt. To bring the social studies unit to life, Mike Harrold of Jambo Productions brought his program “Ancient Egypt: A Multi-Cultural Journey” to the school. During his visit, Mr. Harrold took students on a virtual journey through Egypt via a PowerPoint presentation that highlighted his travels through the area, as well as stories and information that covered the Nile River Valley, the pyramids, King Tut’s tomb, and the geography of the region. Following the assembly program, small workshops featuring a traveling museum showcased artifacts from his travels.
