It was an evening of exploration and discovery as Winthrop Avenue third-grade students showcased their innovative and colorful experiments and presentations during the school’s annual third-grade science fair.

Principal Sally Curto said, “The annual science fair is a great opportunity for the students to explore scientific concepts that they are interested in and to share their results with peers.”

The goal of the activity was for students to try their hands at experiments that are safe and practical and to share their results with administrators, faculty, family and peers. Students explored a variety of topics including the creation of slime, static electricity, heart health, magnets and more.
