In recognition of Earth Day on April 22, students at Reinhard took part in several initiatives.

To kickoff a morning of celebration, kindergartners marched through the auditorium wearing decorated hats, made out of recycled materials, including bottles, cans, paper and cereal boxes. The District’s youngest students showcased their handmade hats on stage for visitors before singing songs including “The Reinhard Rising Stars Song,” “Spring Is Here” and “This Land Is Your Land.”

As a follow-up to the kindergarten show, students in first and second grade held a musical performance of their own before venturing outside and beautifying the school grounds by planting a tree. Kindergartners, in the meantime, worked on an in-class activity with smaller plants.
