Winthrop Avenue third-grader students gathered in the school gymnasium for an evening of discovery and exploration as they showcased their innovative and engaging experiments during the school’s annual third-grade science fair, held on Feb. 7.

The goal of the activity was for students to try their hands at performing experiments that are safe and practical, as well as to share their findings with administrators, faculty and peers. Students explored a variety of topics including atmospheric reactions, plant absorption, emulsion, buoyancy and density, crystals and much more. Each student received a certificate of participation for their hard work.
