Tops in Spelling

Following class bees, the top spellers in the sixth grade at Shore Road School competed against one another in the schoolwide spelling bee on March 22.

Held the last Friday before spring break, the intense 49-minute competition finished with Morgan Useloff spelling “trapeze” and “checkered” correctly to take the title of top sixth-grade speller. This year's runner-up was Sahla Mokaria.

“All of the students participating today are already winners,” said Principal Patrice Matthews, “as these students are the tops spellers in their classes.”
