Third-grade students showcased their innovative and engaging experiments during Winthrop’s annual third-grade science fair, held on Feb. 6.
The goal of the science fair was for students to try their hands at performing experiments that are safe and practical and which provide them with the opportunity to perform research for the first time. The evening of discovery and exploration showcased studies in crystals, botany, animal studies, density, chemical reactions and more. The students were instructed to share their findings with administrators, faculty and peers and each student received a certificate for their hard work.
