A greeting card during the holidays can lift the recipient’s spirits during the holiday season. This was the intention of third grade students in Elisa Braverman’s class at Winthrop Avenue School as they collectively designed and created festive cards for residents of Bethany House, a shelter in Roosevelt.

The class project was completed in conjunction with the national nonprofit charity called Bake Back America, a philanthropic platform based on the foundation of kindness and committed to connecting volunteers and recipients through its programs to teach lessons of working together in order to give back to the community.
