A storybook pumpkin patch sprouted in the Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center library media center during the month of October.

Through a collaboration between home and school, families decorated real and fake pumpkins in the image of their child’s favorite storybook character. The idea of library media specialist Julie Amoroso, students and their families worked together to bring their pumpkins to life using various supplies including acrylic paint, yarn, paper, buttons and their imaginations!

Synergy and teamwork were critical components to students’ success. At the end of the month, more than 300 pumpkins decorated the school library media center.
