The Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center’s Student Activity Council (SAC) sponsored a hop-a-thon, an activity that had students spend time before school and during recess hopping to raise money for muscular dystrophy. Students were introduced to this opportunity and provided with information about the disease in their physical education classes. Following the introductory sessions, each child was supplied with a packet describing the event and how their parents, relatives, and friends could become sponsors. Students had fun participating in this physical challenge and raised an impressive $3,010 for this worthwhile cause.
