The third and fourth-grade students in the Student Advisory Council at Winthrop Avenue School in Bellmore led a schoolwide collection for the “Coats for Kids” campaign, organized in conjunction with Assemblyman David McDonough. The collected coats will be distributed to local needy families. Students donated a variety of winter coats and jackets ranging in shapes, colors and sizes.
