Members of the Student Advisory Council at Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center in Bellmore hosted a “Pennies for Patients” fundraiser throughout the month of March, raising more than $500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The collection encouraged students to donate their spare change and reinforce the school’s Character Education program. The money raised will go towards supporting the society’s mission, which is to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin’s disease.
