As an extension of the Bellmore School District’s Character Education program, sixth graders in Stacey Reiner’s and Graceann McClenahan’s classes at Shore Road School tie-dyed and sold socks in an effort to Stomp Out Hunger. Through their efforts, the two classes raised more than $560 for The Freeport INN, a local soup kitchen that feeds hungry children, adults, and seniors.
