Rising Star Leaders at the Reinhard Early Childhood Center were filled with wonder as they observed a starry night sky right from their school’s gymnasium on March 20.

The excitement was clear as soon as students entered the gymnasium to see a massive planetarium reaching up towards the ceiling. Tom Barry, known as “That Planetarium Guy,” welcomed classes inside to see a starry display projected onto the inside of the dome. Mr. Barry pointed out several constellations and the myths behind them, such as the ursa major symbol that represents the big dipper. Students saw how the stars move across the night sky with the north star always staying in place.
