As a testament to the lives she’s touched over the last eleven years as Shore Road Principal, faculty, staff, and current and former students gathered together to honor retiring principal Christine Augusto. Through song, dance, and performance skits, the Shore Road community thanked Ms. Augusto for her dedication, support, and love, with a few comical mentions of her infamous peppermint patties.
Wearing a crown on her head, with her husband by her side and tears in her eyes, Ms. Augusto enjoyed the performances that included “The 12 Days of Retirement,” “Top 10 Reasons We Love Ms. Augusto,” and “Seven Habits of Highly Effective Principals.” Following a performance of “For Good” from the Broadway musical Wicked that featured teachers and former students, Ms. Augusto spoke to the audience.
“I am completely overwhelmed right now,” she remarked. “I have loved every minute I have been in your school and I will always keep you in my heart.”
