Sixth graders at Shore Road School in the Bellmore School District, who are soon set to graduate, recently recounted some of their favorite school memories in special projects.
Reviewing a successful 2026, students assembled memory box projects in which they showed their writing skills by describing their favorite memories. In one box, students discussed their greatest success, while in another, they recalled their favorite book. Friendships made were spotlighted as each student described their relationship with their closest friends. Favorite memories included schoolwide events such as the annual College Olympics. Showing leadership to incoming sixth graders, students also shared words of advice for tackling their final year in Bellmore Schools. Each project is paired with a current photo of each student alongside a photo of them when they were younger.
