Students from Winthrop Avenue School in the Bellmore Public School District gave board of education trustees a sneak peek at their daily kindness initiatives during the Oct. 17 regular meeting.
The students, who are only a few of the more than 70 Winthrop Winning Star Polishers Team members, demonstrated how they strive for kindness every day. They shared their kindness bingo card which challenges them to complete different acts of kindness. As a representation of their good deeds, students receive a paper heart which is displayed on the schools’ rainbow-colored kindness wall.
