On June 21, music and dancing were only part of the fun during a celebration by fourth graders at Winthrop Avenue School in the Bellmore Public School District, who will soon be moving on to new heights.
Fourth grade Winning Stars will soon begin fifth grade at Shore Road School. Classes joined together to conclude their time at Winthrop with a two-part event. The outdoor celebration featured a DJ who played some of students’ favorite songs. Beach volleyball and rolling dodgeball was also part of the fun while others collected signatures on their shirts from their peers. In the afternoon, students were treated to an interactive game show to round out their day. The celebration was the perfect send-off to begin an exciting journey into fifth grade.
