Second graders at Reinhard Early Childhood Center in the Bellmore Public School District celebrated their move to the next chapter of their elementary school journeys on June 20.
Reinhard second graders will make the move to Winthrop Avenue School next year as third graders. With pride and joy, second grade classes celebrated the occasion with loved ones in the Reinhard auditorium at their Moving Up ceremony. Addressing the students, Principal Patricia Castine said, “I am going to keep with me the many fond memories of the special things that have happened throughout the years, and how incredible you all are in your own ways.”
For their final moments as Rising Stars, students sang songs that reinforced Bellmore’s Leadership Principles. Students also stepped up to the microphone to help unveil their Legacy Project, which is a bench that they painted under the direction of art teacher, Mrs. Michelle Block, and will be displayed in the Reinhard lobby.
