Several Star Leaders across Reinhard Early Childhood Center, Winthrop Avenue and Shore Road schools in the Bellmore Public School District were applauded for their leadership during the board of education’s annual student recognitions night on June 13.
Star Leaders, along with their families and loved ones, gathered in the Reinhard auditorium, and the cheers rang out as students were named and received a star button. Student Star Polisher Teams from each school, which work with their respective principals and other staff members to create opportunities to reinforce Bellmore’s Leadership Principles, took to the stage. Recognitions also included those for Winthrop Avenue’s Student Advisory Council and Shore Road’s Spelling Bee winner and runner-up and the Shore Coders Hackathon Team, who won third place in a coding competition.
