Students at Shore Road School in the Bellmore School District promoted positive choices as they celebrated Red Ribbon Week from Dec. 2-6, which culminated in the young leaders dressing for the job they want.
The excitement built through the week as Shining Star Leaders brainstormed what they could dress as for “Dress for Success” day. Students arrived at school donning attire that represented a range of professions, from police officers to doctors and business owners. The day acted as a reminder that positive, healthy choices will lead to a fulfilling life and career. Additionally, Shore Road students followed daily themes that included an “Our Dreams Will Come True” pajama day and a “Bright Futures” neon day. Red Ribbon Week returns each year to reinforce the importance of responsible, drug-free choices.
