Musicians at Shore Road School in the Bellmore School District ushered in spring as the orchestra, chorus and band took to the stage for their seasonal concert on May 14.
Led by music teachers Kelly Kozma, Laura Itzkovitz and Jennifer MacVicar, Shining Star Leaders spent weeks preparing for their concert, which represented a culmination of the skills they have learned throughout the year. The sixth grade chorale, chamber orchestra and select band, as well as the schoolwide orchestra, chorus and band, displayed exemplary teamwork and dedication both on stage and through their weeks of practice. Student leaders also introduced each song as they stepped up to the microphone, and engaging skits brought the humor.
