Rising Star Leaders at the Reinhard Early Childhood Center in the Bellmore School District counted up to 100 as they reached a new milestone of 100 days of school on Feb. 12.

Throughout the day, students completed various activities themed around the achievement, such as drawing a 100th day monster featuring 10 sets of 10 visual traits or covering posters in 100 dots or objects. Leading up to the day, students led a collection of cereal boxes, yielding more than 1,000 donations. In the exciting culmination, the boxes were lined up and toppled like dominos throughout the halls as all students and staff in the building observed.

The fun did not end there, however. On Feb. 13, Rising Star Leaders marked the 101st day of school by dressing as dalmatians, mimicking the movie, “101 Dalmatians.” Dressed in white and covered in spots, students enjoyed a day of fun before the February recess.
