March marks Music in Our Schools month in the Bellmore School District, and students celebrated by following weekly themes that made them the stars of the show.
Each week, students embraced a different theme, encouraging them to explore a wide range of musical styles. Rising Star Leaders at Reinhard Early Childhood Center dived into country music, for example, by wearing blue jeans, flannel shirts, boots and cowboy hats. On March 27, tie dye, leather jackets, gold chains and more were worn to represent different decades of music. Music is an important part of education in Bellmore Schools, as students learn Leadership Principles and Core Values through songs that deepen their understanding of teamwork, dedication and synergy.
