Kindergartners at Reinhard Early Childhood Center in the Bellmore School District recently had an exciting opportunity to watch baby chicks hatch right before their eyes.
From tiny cracks in the eggs to fluffy new friends, this hands-on experience brought learning to life in a memorable way. Kindergartners observed as the eggs were kept warm under incubators, eagerly tracking the days until they hatched. Excitement grew as the eggs began to crack, and one by one, chicks emerged. It was not only an adorable experience for the young learners, but also a meaningful learning opportunity. Rising Star Leaders explored life cycles, observed changes over time and practiced patience, responsibility and care as they watch and learned about living things.
