Students at Shore Road School in the Bellmore School District showcased their dedication and determination during the annual spelling bee on April 1, which brought together the top spellers from each sixth grade class.
Twelve participants were challenged with increasingly difficult words as the rounds went on, testing not only their spelling knowledge but also their focus and confidence under pressure. Through several competitive rounds, the Shining Star Leaders demonstrated integrity and perseverance. Peers from throughout the building joined to applaud their efforts, while teachers Carolyn Acevedo and Lisa Garry acted as moderators.
