Second graders in the Bellmore School District spent their morning under the sun as they celebrated their final year at Reinhard Early Childhood Center with a series of exciting games on May 12.
Rising Star Leaders in second grade classes were broken up into color-coded groups to gear up for the challenge as they faced off in various competitions. Guided by guest coaches, each physical activity had students fully engaged in the fun. In games that had students racing against the clock, they jumped over obstacles, crawled toward a goal and used teamwork to flip tires. The highlight of the event had students test their strength and determination as they fiercely competed in tug-of-war. To conclude the event, classes cooled off with celebratory ice pops. The annual second grade celebration at Reinhard gives the school’s oldest students a grand send-off before the year concludes and they move up to Winthrop Avenue School.
