Second graders at Reinhard Early Childhood Center in the Bellmore School District dressed in vibrant springtime colors as they dazzled audiences from the stage during their annual spring concert.

Following the theme, “Colors and Stories,” second grade Rising Star Leaders sang various songs under the direction of music teacher Joanna Rocco while performing playful choreography led by teacher Mallory Aronoff. Before each song, students bravely stepped up to the microphone to share information about each piece. Songs included “What Color is the Music,” “Rainbow Connection,” “True Colors” – which was accompanied on guitar by Maria Pokorny – and “Never Ending Story.” The concert was a culmination of all musical skills learned before chorus members move up to Winthrop Avenue School.
