The annual Reinhard tradition continued this year as second graders gathered to add a tree to the school grounds! Rising Star Leaders helped leave the lasting legacy by adding soil around the young tree.

Winning Star Leaders dressed in bright green and blue to celebrate Earth Day during Spirit Week, signaling their commitment to practicing environmentally friendly principles.

I am thrilled to announce that our 5th-grade coding team has secured FIRST PLACE at the Kidoyo Code Conquest Hackathon! Schools from all across Long Island competed in a series of challenging coding tasks, and our talented Star Students showcased their exceptional skills and creativity.   A huge congratulations to our amazing students and dedicated teachers! Your hard work and teamwork truly exemplify leadership at its best. Our Bellmore Stars lit up the stage as our kindergarten students celebrated Earth Day with joyful songs in front of a packed auditorium of proud families! Thank you to our teachers and staff for creating such a special experience for our students and community! 🌎✨

What a fantastic night at John F. Kennedy High School as our Bellmore Stars community came together! Our parents, students, staff, and administrators took the court as the Bellmore Shooting Stars against the Harlem Wizards in a fun-filled fundraiser for our students. March marked Music in Our Schools Month across the district, and students celebrated by following weekly themes that made them the stars of the show! Rising Star Leaders at Reinhard Early Childhood Center dressed as their favorite musician, dived into country music and sported tie dye, leather jackets, gold chains and more to represent different decades of music. #IgnitetheStarsWithin #StarsLeadandLearn

This week, our Rising Star Leaders had the incredible opportunity to watch baby chicks hatch right before their eyes. From tiny cracks in the eggs to fluffy new friends, this hands-on experience brought learning to life in the most magical way.

Not only was it adorable, but it was also meaningful learning! Students explored life cycles, observed changes over time, and practiced patience and care as they watched and learned about living things. #IgnitetheStarsWithin #StarsLeadandLearn

Our Curriculum Advisory Committee - comprised of our talented educators Jennifer Demond, Debra Ammendola, Carolyn Acevedo, Jennifer Comins, Kirsten McLeod and Rebecca Valentini - gave a great presentation on our approach to literary practices before the March 24 board of education meeting. They discussed how we equip Star Leaders with skills in literacy including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. #IgnitetheStarsWithin #StarsLeadandLearn
