Students from throughout the Bellmore Public School District worked together to craft a new table skirt in dedication to the Board of Education, which now hangs in the regular meeting room at Winthrop Avenue School.
Students attended the Nov. 9 Board of Education meeting to personally send their thanks to board trustees, who work tirelessly to ensure a quality education for all Bellmore students. The table skirt features colorful houses painted with different patterns as well as the signature Bellmore Lighthouse, joined by the motto, “A place where everyone ‘Leads and Learns.’”
“This is very special, because all of you made it for us,” Board President Janet Goller said. “Every meeting when we come into this room, we’re going to think of our Bellmore Stars and how lucky we are to do everything we can to help make your education great.”
